Summer 2007

Dear Colleague,

Summer may be coming to a close, but there will be no slowing down at ExactET as we continue to spread our tentacles across this great country of ours.

We have exciting news out of Toronto where our agent Chris LeConte, president of Smart Watering Systems, tells of outstanding results at four Mississauga industrial properties.

The newly installed ET Manager system allowed the owner of the four properties, the Orlando Corporation, to save almost 3 million litres of water in May, June and July compared to the same period in 2006.
"The results are particularly impressive when you consider these savings were generated during a hotter and drier summer than is usual," says LeConte.

Dennis Pasut, Orlando's senior property manager, is equally as pleased.

He comments, "Not only did we realize a savings in water of 32 per cent, our landscaping has never looked better. The new system is also contributing to Orlando's environmental and conservation goals."

In other Ontario news, our partnership with the Royal Ottawa Golf Club (ROGC) is now fully cemented.

The partnership gives ExactET real time access to data generated from the ROGC's highly accurate Campbell Scientific weather station and enables us to better serve our growing list of clients in the Ottawa region.

Staying out East, we fully expect to have a weather station operating in the Montreal area by year end. This will be the first several weather stations scheduled for Montreal in 2008.

Closer to home base, our pilot study in Okotoks to help the town better manage bulk water supplies is moving ahead at full speed.

We made a presentation before the full Okotoks Council on August 13 and got its unanimous blessing to continue our work with Okotoks Open Spaces and EPCOR.

The ET Manager system we've put in place ensures the watering of individual properties is balanced against the town's peak water demands.

In times of water supply problems, watering on these properties can be scaled back or completely eliminated without the necessity of a physical site visit by a town employee.

As of today, we have weather based irrigation controllers installed in 9 municipal parks and at the Foothills Composite High School playing fields.
