With natural beauty surrounding the city, Logan has worked hard to develop an excellent park system, boasting one of Utah's two zoos. But maintaining the beauty of these parks is challenging considering Logan's dry climate. Water is a scarce commodity with most of its supply coming from natural springs in the mountains.
Logan City turned to Weather Reach for help.
"Anytime there is a way to save on water, we have to do it," said Russ Akina, Parks and Recreation Department Head.
The city purchased and installed 2 WR-7 Weather Reach Receivers at 2 different parks to put them through their own trial.

One receiver was installed at Adams Park. Located in the heart of the city and once the center for athletic events for Utah State University, Adams Park is heavily used by families, students, and residents. |
