Shane Miller, President of Aspen Hills Landscape and Lawncare, maintains the grounds around Murray City Hall. Miller presented Weather Reach to city officials as a solution to the challenge from the state division of water resources to slow the flow and conserve water.

Now the city is an example to residents and businesses. Miller installed Weather Reach in February 2003. It allowed just 43 days of watering the first season from May to September. Miller says that number in the past had reached 70 days or more.

"Through water audits by both Utah State University and Murray City, Weather Reach is proving to save water," Miller said.
